Single party social republic means a country which has no opposition party present in the country. The county is governed by the Vietnamese Communist Party. Though there are no opponent parties in the country, there are however, several small political organizations. The government of Vietnam from time to time take the help of these organizations to run its operations smoothly. Vietnamese Fatherland Front is one of the most well known name among these organization. It is often described as the political base of people's power. The front has been entrusted by the government of Vietnam with a number of responsibilities.

Vietnamese Fatherland Front has a major role in promoting national solidarity and unity of mind. Recently it is also taking part in poverty reducing programs. It also plays an important role in deciding government’s policies on religion of the country. The front can also decide which religious will get official approval.

Most importantly, the Front is to supervise the activity of the government as well as of government organizations. The Front is based around mass participation and popular mobilization. As a result of this it is seen as representative of the people. Both Vietnam's constitution and laws give it a special role. Vietnamese Fatherland Front has a particularly significant role in the elections. In order to be a candidate in the election an endorsement by the front is required. And it is a well known practice at the time of election. Thus Vietnamese Fatherland Front is one of the most influential political organizations in Vietnam.

Role of Vietnamese Fatherland Front

The Socialist Republic of Vietnam is one of the well known countries in Southeast Asia. The country has developed as a well known tourist destination. Apart from that the country is also well known for its unique political structure. Vietnam is one of those few countries that have a single party social republic. The country is governed by Vietnamese Communist Party and it is the sole political party in Vietnam. The party thus has no opposition. The party however takes help of some organizations to run the operations of the country more smoothly as well as efficiently. The Vietnamese Fatherland Front is one of such organization that help the Vietnamese Communist Party to run the operation of the company more smoothly.

The Vietnamese Fatherland Front is often described by the government of Vietnam as the political base of people's power. The front is intended to have a significant role in society. The goal of the front is to promote national solidarity and unity of mind in political as well as spiritual matters. A wide number of the social programs of Vietnamese government are conducted through the Front. Recently, the front has been also entrusted with a role in programs to reduce poverty. The Front is also responsible for much of the government's policy on religion. The front also has the ability to decide which religious groups will receive official approval. Thus the Vietnamese Fatherland Front is one of the major organizations that help the government of Vietnam to run the operations of the government smoothly and also to handle some parts of the administration of the country.

Vietnamese Fatherland Front

The socialist Republic of Vietnam is one of the most well known countries in southeast Asia. This party has a very close link with the communist party of Vietnam as well as the Vietnamese government. The party was founded in the year 1977 by merging several small groups. These groups include Vietnamese Fatherland Front of North Vietnam, Alliance of National, Democratic and Peace Forces of Vietnam in the South Vietnam and National Liberation Front of South Vietnam.

The Vietnamese Fatherland Front is considered as an amalgamation of many smaller groups. These groups also include the Communist Party itself. Other groups that participated in the establishment of the Front were the remaining part of the Viet Cong, the Vietnamese General Confederation of Labour, as well as the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth League which is known as the Ho Chi Minh Youth. The Vietnamese Fatherland Front also included the Democratic Party of Vietnam and Socialist Party of Vietnam. These two parties however were disbanded in the year 1988. The group also incorporates some officially sanctioned religious groups.

Politics in Vietnam

Vietnam is one of the most well known nation in southeast Asia. The country is officially known as the Social Republic of Vietnam and is abbreviated as SRV. The socialist Republic of Vietnam is one of the few countries in the world that has a single party social republic. The country is governed by a single political party. The country do not have any opposition parties. However, there are some small opposition parties that operate from overseas. They have a little impact on the political scenario of this country.

The politics of Vietnam occurs in a framework of a single-party socialist republic. The central role of the Communist Party of Vietnam is reasserted in the current constitution. This constitution is adopted in the month of April in the year 1992. Though Vietnam remains a single-party state, the communist Party did not stick to its ideological orthodoxy. Instead the government or the ruling party have stressed upon the economic development of the nation. The Communist Party of Vietnam has treated the nessecity of economic development in the country as a national priority.

The Socialist Republic of Vietnam is governed through a highly centralized system which has the Vietnamese Communist Party at the heart of it. The Vietnamese communist Party dominates the political scenario of Vietnam. All the political organizations of Vietnam are under the control of Vietnamese Communist Party. No separation of power exists between the executive, legislative and judicial branches in this country. Communist Party policy is set by a Politburo consisting of fourteen members. The Party Secretariat, which consists of eight Politburo members, oversees day-to-day policy implementation.
